End of Season Penalty Shootout!
Afternoon everyone.
So we’ve been thinking about how to end this season a little bit differently and we’ve decided (with your blessing) that we will hold an end of season penalty shootout!
Here’s the deal…
Firstly the formalities…changes to kick off times are as follows:
6.00pm FC Maesteg v Scouting for Goals
6.35pm Park Arabs v The Vaders
7.10pm Crowninthians FC v Honey Badger FC
7.45pm Borussia Teeth v FC Snorkel
Following all the games at around 8.20 we will start our penalty shootout competition. Depending on how many enter, we may split into 2 groups at each end of the pitch.
So, its SUDDEN DEATH!! – we’ll draw up the order and each entrant will get an opportunity to take 1 penalty.
Should you miss you’re out. If you score you remain in the mix.
Penalties will continue until we’re down to the last two men. Each will win a crate of beer with the victor from the remaining two taking home a bottle of Champagne (a moderately cheap one of course), a small cash prize and their photo on the website as this year’s Penalty champion.
We’ll also be handing over the League Trophy to champions Crwoninthians FC, and will also know who the player of the tournament and top scorers are at this time so a good opportunity to get your ugly mug on the website.
What about the goalkeepers I hear you ask? Well we’re sure some of you couldn’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo so we could leave an open goal, but we are asking for any GK’s who want to be involved to step up, and if there’s nobody man enough, the organisers get to be in goals!
